Weather in Langkawi
Langkawi has one of the most stable island climates in Malaysia. Being situated on the northwestern coast of Peninsular Malaysia within the Straits of Malacca, the island is protected from major winds and storms by the mainland and Indonesian Sumatra.
Langkawi is an ideal all year round destination with occasional showers throughout the year with a pleasant climate. The daily temperature is normally between 30 and 35 degree Celsius during the day and is a pleasant 28 to 29 degrees in the evening.
September and October are the rainiest months however; the monsoon winds do not adversely affect the islands weather. The best time to visit is between April and August with a fine balance of daily sunshine and occasional light rain.
