Weather on Phuket

Thailand has three seasons, summer, winter and rainy season. When planning your corporate incentive trip to Thailand, consider the different seasons. You may visit Phuket all year round, but if you plan an adventure outdoor team building event, you should avoid the rainy season and the hottest time of the year.

The ideal time for a visit to Phuket is during the cool north-east monsoon season, which runs from November through to March when it is not so humid. The average temperature is around 24C to 32C. The hottest months are April and May. From June to August the weather is usually fine with some quick heavy downpours and a lot of sun shine in between. If you plan your trip with a limited budget and your team building is held indoors, consider the low season, September and October. Plenty of hotels have special offers and you will get most value for your money.

What to do?

The Andaman Sea is home to Phuket, Thailand's largest island, which offers great beaches, international facilities, good hotels and delicious food. Phuket also makes a good base for visiting some of the many outlying islands located close to Phuket's east and south-east coast and the great dive sites around the Similan Islands. Just north of Phuket is Phang Nga - an area of wild mangroves and limestone scenery.
